Pimps in the Pulpit Review
Book written by Shannon R. Bellamy
First, I have to respect anyone who has the nerve and guts to write about church pimps (ministers). We live in a society where if a hustler gets convicted of a crime, there’s no excuse for him. But if a church pimp gets convicted of a crime we justify it by saying he’s only human.
This wimpy version of Pimps in the Pulpit is vague and very misleading. It’s more about relationships than anything else. Glen Cain is an adulterous 52-year-old man who loves women. He just happens to be a minister. Shannon Bellamy is an adulterous, confused female who has a victim mentality. Like most women who can’t keep a man, she never looks in the mirror. The book is poorly written and is very predictable.
Reading “Church Pimps” on the other hand is like taking a daring adventure -- you’ve got to be brave. There’s nothing predictable about it. It takes you on a merry-go-round and rollercoaster, and then a jet plane! It demonstrates in detail the strategies, techniques and secret con games that church pimps play. “Church Pimps” is the magic key that will allow you to enter a forbidden world, a dark and mysterious world that will arouse your senses and stagger your imagination. All you have to do is pick up the magic key called “Church Pimps.” |

Pimps in the Pulpit Review
Book written by Herbert E. Brown
This is the original title written by an articulate and intelligent writer. Reading “Church Pimps” and “Pimps in the Pulpit” is like watching a great fight on cable TV. “Pimps in the Pulpit” is very conservative like Joe Frazier, but the world loves “Church Pimps.” It’s bold, colorful, rebellious and controversial. Plus, it claims to be the greatest, like Muhammad Ali.
As Church Pimps enters the ring, the women get warm all over. They love those scorching, hot, sizzling erotic scenes that burn your fingers as you turn each page. Pimps in the Pulpit has no sex appeal, it’s just full of data. The pimps and players are barking for more of that street life that gives the book color, drama and magic. There’s nothing colorful about Pimps in the Pulpit except it’s title.
The bell rings, in the beginning Pimps in the Pulpit gets everyone’s attention because he’s jabbing and jabbing. But as the fight progresses, Church Pimps is winning on points. Because of Church Pimps’ dramatic storyline, it has more moves than a cue ball and more angles than a pool shark. Pimps in the Pupit has no plot, it’s like reading a dull documentary. It has just one punch, a jab that attacks the same message over and over and over and over. It becomes repetitious, boring and very weak. Pimps in the Pulpit is now holding onto the ropes for dear life! It doesn’t have anymore power in its jab. Church Pimps sees an opening, it hits Pimps in the Pulpit with a straight right cross that lands on it’s chin with Rev. Goodgame, Rev. Mack, Father Divine and the legendary Jesse Jackson. Pimps in the Pulpit doesn’t have one colorful character -- just data, data, data, data.
Pimps in the Pulpit’s vision is bad now from being hit with poetic words and a unique and creative style that doesn’t consist of boring paragraphs. Church Pimps is thinking outside the box. Suddenly, Church Pimps throws a left hook and knocks Pimps in the Pulpit out with an unexpected ending that shocks the world!
Standing in the ring, all alone, bad to the bone, in a class of it’s own is the heavyweight champion of the world, Church Pimps!

Church Pimps Review
Church Pimps is the most important book of the 21st century. It exposes the legendary Jesse Jackson and many others like no other book. Jesse Jackson received total grant awards of $6,677,704 from HEW, Department of Education, Department of Labor, Department of Commerce and Housing & Urban Development (HUD).
Jesse Jackson was the overseer and the creator of the Black Expo. After each event, several millions of dollars just disappeared. While campaigning for president of the United States, he received $200,000 and another staggering donation of $350,000. Texaco Oil Company made a settlement of $250 million dollars. The pimps don’t call him the Godfather for nothing.
There are books that try to write about this subject like “Pimpin’ from the Pulpit to the Pews,” by Hasani Pettiford, for which I believe he should be put in jail for impersonating a writer. Church Pimps gives you drama, comedy, romance, history and wisdom, all wrapped up in one.
Father Divine, the original Church Pimp, convinced most of the world that he could not die because he was God almighty. This is not fiction, Father Divine really existed. A newspaper reporter asked him where he was born since he was supposed to be God almighty.
He shouted, “My spirit was combusted out of the heavens one day. With the speed of a bullet, I rode on a shooting star that landed me across 110th Street in Harlem, New York, and people believed it!
